If you were looking for a reason to visit Brooklyn this winter, we have some great news. New York's trendiest borough (sorry, Manhattan, but you know it's true) will host the first-ever Food & Wine Festival and, trust us, you're not going to want to miss it.
The event, taking place on February 17 and 18, 2017, is shaping up to be a true celebration of the diverse and extraordinary culinary scene of Brooklyn bringing together 150 of the area’s best restaurants, chefs, and artisans. Also on the jam-packed program—appearances by celebrity chefs and food-world luminaries such as Mario Batali, Tom Colicchio, Carla Hall, and Frank Falcinelli.
"Brooklyn is one of the most exciting culinary destinations in the world,” said Nilou Motamed, Food & Wine Editor in Chief. "As a long-time Brooklyn resident, I couldn’t be more thrilled to host our newest signature event in this great borough and bring a one-of-a-kind experience to our passionate audience of food lovers. With access to brilliant chefs, authentic local food and ingenious tastemakers and artisans, this will be a celebration of Brooklyn’s singular contribution to the culinary zeitgeist.”
The festival events include the Grand Tasting on Friday and Saturday with unlimited food and wine (#youarewelcome). Of course, since it's Brooklyn we're talking about, also expect to hear a lot of great bands and live music.
Tickets for the festival will go on sale on Thursday, October 20 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online via Ticketmaster.
All of a sudden we're excited about winter in New York.
