You don't need to step into a derm's office to get fuller lips. Plumping lip gloss is an easy, low-commitment alternative to costly injections. Most major designer and drugstore brands have come out with lip-plumping products, but old Hollywood glamour-enthusiast Charlotte Tilbury has noticeably been missing from the mix.

The celebrity makeup artist's latest release—her own spin on plumping gloss—will likely join the ranks of her other cult-favorite products, like the Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk, and Filmstar Bronze and Glow bronzer palette.

Tilbury's Collagen Lip Bath ($35; was inspired by social-media photo filters that plump up lips and make them look fuller. The gloss is formulated with hydrating mustard sprout extract and marine collagen to volumize and define lip contours, making lips look fuller. Pearlescent pigments give the gloss its pink sheen and reflect light for even more volume.

My deskmate, who has self-described "baby lips," took the gloss for a test drive. A few minutes after she swiped it on, her bottom lip especially looked visibly fuller, but natural. The volumizing effect of the gloss lasted about an hour or so before she felt like she needed to reapply.

What was absent was the burning feeling most plumping glosses give your lips. She told me that she felt a mild tingling sensation right after applying Charlotte Tilbury's, but it went away in a minute or so.

If you have a needle phobia like both of us, consider this gloss your route to full, plump lips.
